V-8 that goes like a V2

The V8 that goes like a V2!

Here’s a word of caution for the first time you drive a V8 Corvette:  don’t wear you’re heavy shoes!

When you feather that accelerator open a quarter of an inch youll know why!  Because there is, literally, no American production car that can equal even approach the takeoff of this 195-horsepower “guided missile”!

This V8 goes like a V2, with a stunning surge of acceleration, a seemingly limitless jet-stream of silken power.  For most driving you can forget the bottom half of the accelerator:  that’s labeled “for emergency use only.”  But when you need it, mister, you’ve got it!

You’ve got the greatest sprinter on the road, a chunky 2850 pounds of steel-muscled power that can flick you out of tight spots as fast as your toe can tap.

More than that you’ve got a solid sports car chassis under you-not a cut-down convertible-with road grip, taut suspension, massive brakes and razor-sharp steering to match its blazing performance.  You’ve got the safest combination of handling, control and balance that internationally famous engineers can design into a car-and the result is more pure driving pleasure than you have ever known before.  But put it through its paces yourself-well be delighted to let you sample the V8 that goes like a V2.
