Note: 1983 Corvette
About forty seven 1983 corvettes were made but none were ever sold, so officially there were no 1983 Corvettes. In October of 1982, the new Corvette plant in Bowling Green, KY closed. In January of 1983 production of 1984 corvettes began, and the first time the press was able to view the 1984 corvette. The first production of the 1984 corvettes was sold to the public by February of the same year. 1984 Corvette went on sale in the United States in March except for California. In April, the 1984 Corvette went on sale in California.
