Another Award Winning Performance.

Motor Trend’s “Car of the Year” is one of the most prestigious awards that can be won by an automotive manufacturer.  It is a testament to excellence in design, engineering and manufacturing.  And for six out of the last 12 years, Motor Trend has chosen a Chevrolet for this award.

Chevrolets, such as Monte Carlo, Caprice, Citation and Camaro Z28, are all former winners.  And this year, yet another Chevrolet were selected.  A car that is the ultimate expression of Chevrolet’s engineering capabilities.

A Chevrolet with a track-proven 5.7-liter engine capable of 0-to-60 times of 6.8 seconds on the test track.  A Chevrolet with remarkable stopping power thanks to a Girlock Ltd.  Four-wheel disc braking system. A Chevrolet with a suspension system so advanced (available Z51), it is capable of lateral acceleration forces of 0.95g on the test track.

A Chevrolet with styling that rivals the finest exotic marques in the world.  A Chevrolet with twin, on-board computers which instantaneously control vital engine functions and the 14-readout liquid crystal instrumentation system.

A Chevrolet that can compete with any motorcar in the world.  A Chevrolet called Corvette.

Said Motor Trend, “never has…any U.S. car maker…built a vehicle so good in so many ways.”
