Corvette 1967: "If You Ask Me, The Best GT/Sports Car Over 3000
IMAGE_BUTTON_PREVIOUS Image1/8 IMAGE_BUTTON_NEXT

“If you ask me, the best GT/sports car over 3000cc us Corvette.”

-6,815 readers of Car and Driver magazine

In the 1967 car and driver Readers’ choice Poll, 6,815 automobile aficionados chose Corvette as the best GT/sport machine over 3000cc.  Quite an honor, when you consider Corvette was in competition marques of Europe.

Not really surprising though, when you consider the long list of Corvette attributes.  Like four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, an exclusive independent suspension system, V8’s with up to 435 horsepower on order and more posh than you’d expect to find even in a GT car.

What else can we say, when almost seven thousand car buffs name ours as the world’s best in its class, except to compliment them on their good taste?
